We provide Family Therapy by qualified, registered and experienced Family Therapists/Systemic Psychotherapists. We work alongside families in all combinations, as well as couples or individuals to think about what they might like their relationships to look like going forwards. We operate as a not-for-profit ‘community interest company’ (CIC) based in Bristol (although our work is not limited to this area).

We have consulting rooms available in Bristol, we offer online therapy and we can also use a hybrid version of face-to-face and online for those who live further away. We believe in working in green spaces and have plans to open a therapy space within a nature based environment this year. We are also happy to discuss the offer of therapy in non-traditional environments that promote wellbeing if that is desired.

What we offer

Family Therapists are also known as ‘Systemic Psychotherapists’, because we think about ‘systems’ - such as families (in whatever combination), couples and groups - and the complex relationships within these.

We have conversations with you about what is going well within those relationships, what you might like to be different and what you would like your relationships to look like going forwards.

Through these conversations we aim to build bridges, connect people and grow resilient relationships.

We also work with individuals who are struggling to make sense of the system around them. We can think with individuals about how aspects of their identity can impact on them or those they are (dis)connected to.

We are qualified and experienced systemic supervisors who have completed appropriate training. We believe that supervision is essential to allow us to look after ourselves and our clients in a professional and well-balanced way.

Our professional experience inside and outside both the NHS and social care, positions us well to provide expert supervision to a wide range of professionals. This supervision can take place with individuals or groups such as peer supervision.

As Systemic Psychotherapists we believe in thinking about relationships within teams to create well-functioning, resilient organisations. We draw upon our systemic experience and expertise in working with teams to have conversations with you about how you want your organisation to function.

We are both experienced Trainers/Lecturers with many years of teaching expertise.

We have taught a variety of topics such as Loss and Bereavement, Working Systemically with the Community and Attachment-based Family Therapy. We have regularly taught on University Courses including the Systemic Therapy Masters Course, Clinical Psychology Doctorate and Association of Family Therapy CPD events.

We are both experienced in training a range of staff in NHS settings as well as those in third sector or charity organisations. We offer Reflective Practice groups in these settings too.

We can adapt current training or create bespoke training for your organisation.

Who we are

We provide Family Therapy working alongside families, couples or individuals, from all backgrounds, and in all constellations, and together we aim to explore what they might like their relationships to look like moving forwards.

As a CIC we care deeply about creating access to Family Therapy for families who may struggle to find the support they need as a result of financial, social or other disadvantage. We are a not-for profit organisation, and we strive to provide equal access whenever possible.

We create this access in a number of ways: by using grants and donations; by paying our therapists an NHS equivalent wage; and by using fee paying income. In combination with these revenues and donating significant amounts of our own time free of cost, our aim is to provide a limited amount of discounted or pro bono therapy when possible.

We are also passionate about working with our local communities in green spaces and are engaging with a number of charities around collaborating to provide the most useful services to these communities.
